Mvuu Lodge is in Liwonde
National Park - Malawi's premier wildlife reserve. Mvuu
offers exclusive accommodation in spacious and luxurious
tents. There are five tents, each with an en-suite bathroom
and a private veranda raised over a lagoon, ensuring prime
and discreet wildlife viewing.
Accommodation at Mvuu Lodge
Mvuu Lodge is a small and intimate lodge
elevated over a lagoon tributary of the Shire River, and is
tucked away in thick, cool riverine vegetation. Each tent
with it’s own private view of the palm-fringed lagoon,
abounding with exciting bird life and riverine mammals. The
tented rooms offer luxury, en-suite facilities for just 10
discerning guests, and a unique canvas, stone and thatch
honeymoon suite for the a most romantic hideaway.
Activities at Mvuu Lodge
Lodge facilities include
a dining room, pub and lounge area, and a pool.
Activities include boating, game drives, (morning,
afternoon and evening), nature walks and birding. An
excellent diversity of animals - including large numbers
of Elephant and Sable antelope, Hippo, Impala and
Waterbuck - can be seen in the area.
Huge Crocodiles, Leopard and Serval are also fairly
common. Birds are prolific, especially along the Shire
River, where the African Fish Eagle and the Pel's
Fishing Owl are frequently sighted, as well as Böhm's
Bee-eater, White Backed Night Heron and a host of local
"specials".
