All the ingredients of a fine tropical island

Lodge. The Lodge has 26 “A - shaped”, thatched roofed Bungalows
made up of 12 Standard Bungalows, 2 Family Bungalows, 11 Superior
Bungalows and 1 Honeymoon Bungalow all set amongst lush tropical
gardens, with magnificent views.

All of the rooms are equipped with air conditioners,
ceiling fans, private bathrooms, and exterior showers. The lodge
dining room caters for all discerning palates with fresh crab,
crayfish, calamari or prawns served daily. The cool thatched
lounge with its nostalgic, colonial-Portuguese atmosphere looks
out over a shallow lagoon towards mainland Mozambique.

Lodge
For birding enthusiasts, approximately 164 different birds
have been identified and confirmed on the Bazaruto islands
in habitats varying from the coastal dunes, open grasslands
and fresh water lakes. Some unusual species to be seen include
green coucals, green pigeons, purple banded and black sunbirds,
olive bee-eaters, manikins, paradise fly-catchers, bartailed
godwits, whimbrels and crab plovers. The Archipelago is a also shell collector's haven, and North
Point, Pansy Island and the numerous surrounding sandbanks
will indulge any avid shell collectors whims.
