Sable Ranch a unique retreat and is ideally situated just over an hour from Johannesburg and Pretoria. With over 1000 head of game, including leopard, buffalo, black and white rhino, giraffe, eland, kudu, hippo and of course sable, on over 4000 hectares of variable – malaria free - scenic reserve.

Thanba Khaya Lodge offers a totally private bush experience for any discerning visitor. With five luxury double rooms, (three in the main lodge and two secluded rondawels), - each with en suite bathrooms and king size beds - for a maximum of only ten guests. The lodge is perfect for company getaways, family celebrations and groups of friends. 

 

 

Attractions and Activities at Sable Ranch

 

The lodge makes its presence felt on an ancient granite dome which seems to lord over magical vistas of the surrounding reserve and distant mountains. Complete with a private bar and deck overlooking a watering hole where a myriad of animals and birds steel to drink. The cool elevated swimming pool has an exquisite view of the surrounding trees and granite formations, a must for those warm lazy summer afternoons.Sable Ranch offers a unique bush experience.

 

 

This is a private game farm where the game drives are personally designed to suit you. There are no fixed schedules or compulsory early morning wake-ups. You decide when you want to go! Allowing you the freedom to be as active or idle as you like.
