Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the north-eastern region of the Pilanesberg National Park, the closest point of entry is through Bakgatla Gate. The reserve is approximately 2 hours drive from Johannesburg. The Pilanesberg National Park is characterized by impressive volcanic mountain forms and rolling savannah grasslands.


Nestled in the basin of an ancient amphitheatre divided by riverine woodlands and elephant trails lies this exclusive 60 bed lodge. The central facility includes, stunning feature pool, bar, conference room, dinning room, boma, reception and curio shop.

 

 

Accommodation at Ivory Tree Lodge

 

Facilities include 60 luxury suites, boma, conference room, curio shop. All rooms are air-conditioned and have full en-suite facilities including outside showers, mini bar fridges as well as hot beverage facilities. Children are accommodated with adults.



The central facility has been positioned to enjoy picturesque views through double volume, deep-thatch roofs of the surrounding amphitheatre. The central guest areas include a lounge, bar, a dining room and a feature rock pool. The conference facility is able to accommodate 75 delegates in classroom styled seating. Sweeping patios provide the ideal venue for delicious English breakfasts and light luncheons with the boma reserved fireside dinners.

 

 

Attractions and Activities at Ivory Tree Lodge

 

Activities include Wildlife Game Drives Safari. Ballooning. Self Drive Walking/Hiking. Conference Facilities. Photography, and Birding.

Ivory Tree uses custom built 10 seater open game viewers which permit maximum all around visibility. The park is home to a wide variety of general game including the Big 5, in addition both species of rhino occur, namely black and white, and cheetah and wild dog. Each group of guests is assigned a personal guide who is tasked with interpreting the sights and sounds of the African bush. Your guide will spend time with you at dinners and is always around to ensure that you remain comfortable during your stay.
