Lodge, which offers three exceptional Safari rooms, three
luxury Elephant rooms and four outstanding River suites.
Wooden swing bridges and candle lit-dinners in the Boma
are part of the charm and splendour of Safari Lodge. All
rooms are made from natural materials and have their own
private deck where you can often enjoy game viewing where
you will discover an intimacy with nature in this luxurious

Ulusaba Rock Lodge
Sit
back and survey the scene at the top. There are two telescopes,
one specifically designed for viewing the night sky. Nothing
like a bit of stargazing before bedtime. The view inside
is just as luscious. The granite rock of the koppie is a
key feature of the lodge's design and each room has the
colours of a different African tribe. Accommodation comprises
of four Rock Rooms, four Rock Cliff Rooms, and a stunning
stand alone, split level Master Suite, which is sure to
bring out the romantic in you. The Rock Suite which comprises
of two bedrooms, each with en-suite, is ideal for those
wishing to bring little cubs of their own! All rooms and
suites have air-conditioning and fans.

Attractions and Activities at
Ulusaba Private Game Reserve
Cubs
of all ages are welcome at Ulusaba Rock Lodge and will
be invited to take part in Ulusaba Cub's Club.
On arrival at Ulusaba all cubs will be given a Cub's
Club Backpack which contains lots of little goodies
to help keep them entertained and to help to educate
them about the African Bush. In every cub's room there
will be a special welcome letter and a list of phone
numbers they can dial from their room so it is easy
for them to get hold of other members of their pride,
along with Ulusaba staff. Also for their safety, we
have security guards on duty all night who will pay
particular attention to rooms occupied by cubs. We have
lots of games up our sleeve and we always try to combine
entertainment with some education. Your ranger will
be more than happy to spend time with your cubs to tell
them all about the bush and the animals they see.
As if some of the finest
game viewing, cuisine and views in Africa weren’t already
enough, not to mention luxurious rooms and staff that
make you feel so at home, Ulusaba also has a boutique
spa which must have the most exciting location of almost
any spa on Earth. Located at Rock Lodge, 800 feet above
the African Savannah, The Aroma Boma Virgin Touch Salon
offers a fabulous range of treatments to help you relax
and unwind after the excitement of game drive. A liftosome
facial uses a high concentration of vitamin C and proteins
to strengthen elasticity and firmness whilst stimulating
cellular regeneration. Our resident beautician also
offers aromatherapy massages, manicures, pedicures and
waxing. Treatments may be done in your room or on your
private balcony.
Twice
daily Ulusaba game drives in open 4x4 game viewing safari
vehicles and nature walks are included in the rate.
The excellent game viewing experience is complimented
by other activities such as stargazing, bird watching
and moonlit bush dinners or sundowners (weather permitting).
The Ulusaba daily walk usually commences after breakfast.
This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe
the smaller animals that you would usually not see while
out on drive. Our knowledgeable ranger and tracker will
enthral you with stories about the medicinal properties
of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and
fascinating facts regarding the animals.
The community tour takes
place outside the reserve in the local village. This
tour offers a fascinating insight into modern Shangaan
lifestyle. You will be welcomed into a pre-primary school
where the children will delight you with their songs.
You can also expect to see some traditional singing
and dancing as well as being welcomed into a traditional
home where you will see corn being ground and be given
a chance to taste traditional foods. Price available

Ulusaba have 2 floodlit
tennis courts which have tennis rackets, tennis balls
and a fully stocked bar! The Arts and Craft shop is
located at Safari Lodge. A selection of arts crafts
and small gifts are available for yourself or friends
and family back home. We also have clothing ranging
from caps, shirts, beanies and gloves… anything you
might need.
