Pitse
Lodge is situated in the malaria-free
33 000 hectare Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the
Limpopo Province. Welgevonden forms part of the Waterberg Biosphere
Region and borders on the Marakele National Park.
With incredible views of the plains stretching into the
distance, Pitse is a private home let on an exclusive basis. Set
within the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve, it is the hub of a
permanent theatre of animals, with game viewing from the deck or pool
that is virtually as good as from a 4x4 game drive.
Accommodation at
Pitse Lodge - Private Wilderness Retreat
Stylish
and flamboyantly decorated, the accommodation includes five thatch and
stone luxury chalets, two of which are connected and thus ideal for
families. The main lodge consists of a lounge, library, dining area
and deck overlooking the open plains, whilst candlelit dinners in the
boma are a feast of delicious food and excellent South African wines.
All meals are prepared by our chef at the lodge. The freshest produce
is used and we make use of organic herbs and vegetables from our own
garden, wherever possible.
Attractions and Activities at
Pitse Lodge - Private Wilderness Retreat
Given
that the lodge is privately let, activities are entirely dependent
on guests’ wishes. Game drives any time of the day , picnics and expeditions to the lodge’s breeding facility for
roan, sable antelope and buffalo are all on the agenda. The big five
are much in evidence and the surrounding area is renowned for white
rhino that graze nearby and unusual birdlife. In all, this
spectacular lodge is the epitome of elegant living in the
wilderness.
