Situated in the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve (a malaria-free area), Sediba is only a three-hour drive from Johannesburg. Here at Sediba, every detail has been carefully chosen to create a refined balance of wild luxury.

 

Accommodation at Sediba Lodge

Letlapa  •  Letlapala

Accommodation Floating between the towering trees and the forest floor, each of Sediba' s suites embraces the natural environment whilst offering the ultimate in sumptuous comfort and tranquility. Each hand-crafted suite, with its spacious double bedroom en suite and lounge, opens onto a secluded viewing deck. No luxury or detail has been overlooked to create a tranquil haven and a truly unique wildlife experience.

Sediba Lodge mealtimes are pleasurable experiences where the chefs create mouth-watering masterpieces for our guests enjoyment. Sediba Lodge Guests are assured of personal service around the clock at the Sediba Private Game Lodge. Gourmet chefs prepare excellent cuisine and the wine cellar is stocked with exclusive vintage wines. There are three meals served daily and high tea is served in the afternoon. Meals can be served in various locations such as the main decks, bomas or inside. Guests are welcome to eat their meals at either of the lodges by pre-arranging this with their ranger. Private candle lit dinners in the suites can also be arranged.

 Sediba's Letlapa Lodge

Letlapa ('rock') lodge, situated in a valley with a perennial stream running through it. The lodge is linked by boardwalks and wheel-chair friendly paths. Letlapa has three suites and two exclusive suites, including one suite that has been specially prepared to accommodate our disabled guests. All facilities are available to guests staying at either of the Sediba lodges. Each suite has it's own private Jacuzzi, which is kept pre-warmed for use. Sediba's exclusive suites are larger, with even more spacious viewing decks and stand-by waiters. Each lodge hosts a maximum of ten guests at a time.   

Sediba's Letlapala Lodge

Letlapala ('the place of the sun') lodge is aptly named, situated on one of the highest points of the reserve, it basks in both sunrise and sunset and has spectacular views over the valleys. The more intimate of the two lodges, Letlapala has four suites and one exclusive suite, all designed to blend into the environment while providing every comfort. Each suite has it's own private Jacuzzi. These are kept pre-warmed for use. All five-star meals, prepared by gourmet chefs, a selection of drinks, game drives and bush walks, as well as gym and steam room facilities are included in the daily tariff.

Attractions and Activities at Sediba Lodge

A fully equipped gym and steam room are available at no extra charge. Sediba Lodge also offers a health and beauty centre for health and beauty treatments which includes aromatherapy, facials, pedicures and massages. Each suite and the main lodges have a selection of reading material. A 'spaza' shop is a traditional name given to a general dealer usually situated in a rural area which sell a variety of merchandise and curios. Guests can visit our spaza shop at Letlapa lodge for curios, a range of clothing, artworks and general items such as camera batteries, film and sunscreen.

Two game drives are offered daily - early morning and afternoon or evening. Morning drives have a tea/ coffee stop with muffins and scones and breakfast being served upon return. Afternoon/evening drives depart after high tea and return before dinner with a sun-downer stop, weather and game movement permitting. Guided walks are offered, usually in the mornings after breakfast, but can be arranged at
other times. At Sediba you will find that our experienced and knowledgeable rangers are more than willing
to advise and talk about any aspect pertaining to the environment and conservation in general. Letlapala lodge has a game-viewing hide. A ranger will be available to answer any questions you may have about
the wildlife you will encounter.
