Wooded Peaks is an exclusive luxury five star lodge, stylishly decorated, cool and comfortable, and just 2.5 hours drive, or a scenic 1-hour flight, from Johannesburg – South Africa.

You will be met at the gate – or airstrip – by your ranger and transferred in an open landrover to the stunning Wooded Peaks lodge – nestled deep within this vast game sanctuary. Here, friendly and competent staff will welcome you with a refreshing cocktail and settle you in.

The main lodge area consists of a well-stocked bar – with a view, a comfortable and cozy lounge and dining area with an impressive suspended central fireplace, library and mini conference room all leading onto the elevated patio where you can enjoy majestic views and unforgettable African sunsets.

Each one of the five tasteful and spacious Wooded Peaks log-cabin style chalets provides sanctuary for 2, in 5 star luxury, with magical bush and valley views.
The en-suite bathrooms provide privacy while inviting the bush in through large sliding glass windows, allowing you the luxury of huge corner baths and inside showers. Or let the cool, cheeky breeze caress you while you indulge in a private outdoor shower. Overhead fans and ceramic fireplaces provide for your comfort.

Other Wooded Peaks facilities include a well-equipped gym for the energetic and a games room, which includes a pool table, darts and a variety of board games.
Spend balmy summer days wallowing in the cool sparking pool with overflow and valley views, or savour the warming effects of a fine pan-African meal, with a good red wine, around a fire with friends and family.

Passionate, qualified Wooded Peaks guides conduct 2 game drives daily and promise to reveal some of Welgevonden’s many hidden secrets. The reserve encompasses over 36 000 hectares of the most scenic Waterberg landscape – part of the Waterberg Biosphere - and is home to a rich diversity of fauna and flora, amazing geological features, ancient rock art, superb bird life in the lush green of summer, and excellent game viewing of Africa’s big game.
