Situated on top of the Welbedacht Cliff Tops 3km from Knysna Town, the Elephant Hide Knysna overlooks the Knysna Lagoon and the Outeniqua mountains. The theme of the Lodge is one based on natural beauty with stone and wood architecture combining to give that comfortable earth feel. The lodge is a family run business that prides itself on personal service, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all.

Accommodation at Elephant Hide Knysna

The Elephant Hide Knysna boasts 6 suites, and 1 family unit. Four of the suites have magical views onto the Knysna lagoon from every corner of the room. The fifth suite enjoys lagoon views but is embedded in indigenous "fynbos" surroundings, which attract numerous bird species and gives that "hidden away" feeling.

Enjoy a relaxing spa-bath while gazing into infinity. All the suites are private and have ensuite bathrooms, double showers with views, air conditioning, under floor heating in the bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, private decks, honesty bar, television, and dressing room.

Attractions and Activities at Elephant Hide Knysna

The Elephant Hide Knysna is a perfect holiday destination for the whole family. The family suite provides accommodation for 2 adults and 3 children, and is attached to the main lodge, with a large private deck over looking the lagoon. The children's room is at the back of the unit and has a Sony playstation and DVD player. Baby-sitting is available on request.

Activities at Elephant Hide Knysna include forest walks, outeniqua choo choo train trips, trips to the elephant park, monkey land, snake park and bird world. Pristine beaches, sailing, Featherbed nature reserve, kayaking, abseiling, diving, quad biking, mountain biking trails, and horse riding.

Champagne and oysters, sunset cruises and sundowners on the deck around the swimming pool, are a few unique experiences to look forward to.

There are over 60 restaurants to choose from in the area, but should you prefer to stay in, there are a few restaurants which will provide an up market take- away, served in the privacy of your room or in the main dinning area.
