The Steenberg Hotel is situated on an historic wine farm in
the lea of the magnificent Stone Mountains, ideally situated just 20
minutes from the Centre of Cape Town. It is a beautiful destination,

The hotel buildings – some of which date back to 1682 – include the
Manor House, Jonkershuis and the Barn, which have been declared
National Monuments. Lovingly restored and decorated with traditional
Cape antiques in elegant 17th Century style and a gracious combination
of old world charm and modern conveniences. Premier rooms are modern
with open plan spaces and feature romantic patios with vineyard or

A championship 18-hole golf course designed
by Peter Matkovitch surrounds the hotel. The course was designed to

Steenberg Hotel
Steenberg is the oldest wine farm in
the Constantia Valley, one of South Africa's premier wine growing
regions. The two flagship wines, Sauvignon Blanc Reserve and
Catharina’s - a red Bordeaux blend - have won many acclaims under
winemaker John Loubser's excellent guidance. With currently 62
hectares under vine, other varieties are Merlot, Shiraz, Nebbiolo,
Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc Loire, Steenberg Cap Classique, Sauvignon
Blanc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
