he 75,000 ha Madikwe Game Reserve is situated in the far north of North West Province, adjacent to the Botswana border. Wild dogs are a specialty of the Madikwe area and due to their rarity and fascinating behavior, are a wonderful sight. They are also known as Cape hunting dogs or painted dogs because of their tri-colored (black, white and tan) abstract coat.
